▪︎ Hiking and snowshoeing: If you’re looking for a way to stay in shape even when the snow falls, snowshoeing is an excellent low-impact aerobic exercise. Several footpaths and snowshoeing trails are still set up for sure, you just need to find the right place.
▪︎ Cross-country skiing: If you are in any Ski stations, it is easy to find a trail map online through their websites as they keep everyone informed and updated.
▪︎ Lace up your skates! You probably don’t even have to leave town to go ice skating. In cities all across the country, ice skating rinks pop up during winter — you might even find a rink at your home.
▪︎ Snowmobile: Are you a non-skier? You might love this idea! Snowmobiles could be one of your hobbies once you've tried them.
▪︎ Dog Sled: how can you not love to be with cute Siberian Huskies, Samoyed, or even an Alaskan Malamute?
➡️ Update – France's ski resorts will not be able to reopen on the first week of January as initially planned, France's Secretary of State for tourism confirmed on Wednesday, 6th of January 2021.
Unlike neighboring Switzerland, France has kept its ski resorts closed since the end of the lockdown in early December. At the moment, the French ski stations are not able to open the ski lifts and all other infrastructure had to keep shut, ruling out most winter sports. Don’t worry– You won’t need to stay inside your home for the duration of the season.
Riviera Luxury Rentals have also prepared the best ski chalets that we could offer for your perfect stay during the winter season.
